On the other hand the consumer is the slave if all the decisions are dictated for him in such a manner that he is left no choice than give in to these forces.The Indian population is divided into two categories with one compri sing of the rich citizens who have a high purchasing power and a control of most resources. This population has numerous resources at its disposal as compared to the second. The second population consists of the poor people and the middle class. This population forms the highest percentage of the Indian population. Ironically this population controls less than 20% of the economy (Srinivas, 2008).Most Indian consumer policies lead to exploitation of the poor by the rich who are in most cases the business owners. The government on the other hand has poor policies that neither favor for the start nor the survival of the small business enterprises. Consequently, monopolistic trends ensue from these policies, the developed market players continuously leave the consumer with no option but work with the available option thus making him/ her not the king but the slave.
